Ian Mckellen [ Person, Actor ]

Sir Ian Murray Mcklennan has received a few nominations for Academy Awards and Emmys. Most of his career has been in the Shakespearean genre. He has most recently been seen in sci-fi and fantasy movies that have included the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Da Vinci Code and X-Men. His big breakthrough into fim came through a movie based on a Steven King story, Apt Pupil. He played an old retired Nazi officer who was befriended by a teenager, but then was threatened to be exposed by the teenager unless he told his story in detail. Ian Mcklennan was knighted in 1991 for his work and contribution to theatre.
